www.ArtForPublishers.com ~ This was my totally automated eCommerce site. The website featured a mySQL database and xHTML, PHP and Javascript technologies. Clients selected items from a searchable art database and placed them into a "shopping cart" that interfaced to VISA, MasterCard, PayPAL or Discover retail transaction services. I designed and built this eCommerce site myself. It was maintained using DreamWeaver and was hosted on EarthLink servers.

Laboratory Procedures manual

~ a college-level laboratory manual example.

I worked with a Publishing House and an Author/Professor to create this document.

The digital artwork of Hans Neuhart (www.EiG.net) appears throughout the example.

Programmable ASIC User's Manual

~ an abbreviated version of a document for an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). This is an example of my skill using FrameMaker™ when preparing a very complex document for a technically complex product. Please note the extensive use of cross-referenced hyperlinks to track pin-signal names. The pin signal names are subject to change ~ the "Xref" capability of FrameMaker facilitates a single-source design paradigm; for example, we could enter the pin label once and the changes necessary (throughout the document) were automatically updated.

Physics For Scientists and Engineers
~ Specifically, my business provided digital art services (vector graphics) to America's finest textbook publishers for over 8-years. We specialized in Biology, Chemistry, Genetics and Physics titles. This is an example of the over 400+ title ART Programs that we prepared. We prepared the entire art program for the FIRST edition of this (now famous) textbook, from Author "roughs". Now in its 3rd edition, "Fishbane" is still available on the Prentice Hall/Pearson Education website:

Bio-Chemistry (ANIMATION)

We worked with the client and their Medical Author
to create a custom animation to complement the educational product video lecture series presentation.
After an explanation of the science involved, this animation launches from the PPT slide page. My major role was to understand the science and create a storyboard (step-by-step) for the Author sign-off; then, Hans (my animator) created the foundation graphics (in iLLustrator) and imported them to FLASH. I am proficient in FLASH (also) and I directed and refined the artwork (objects) and timeline (action) sequences and added ActionScript code to provide "interactivity".
